Ginger and Turmeric are two of the most esthetically pleasing food plants you can grow. I start harvesting mine after about 4-5 months and harvest them as I need them thru the season. The foliage dies back here if we get freezing temperatures, so sometime January to February I like to clear out their beds and start them anew elsewhere.
